About the Journal
RNA & DISEASE (Electronic ISSN: 2375-2467) is an open access, peer-reviewed, online journal that encompasses all basic and translational research of RNA in normal and pathological conditions. Our understanding of the role of RNA in cellular processes has expanded enormously over the last two decades from participation in protein expression as mRNA and tRNA to catalyzing reactions, including self-splicing, phosphodiester bond cleavage, and peptide bond formation. RNA is now known to play functions in diverse cellular processes, such as development, immunity, RNA editing and modification, and post-transcriptional gene regulation. RNA is also an important player in many diseases, including Prader-Willi, b-thalassemia, and myotonic dystrophy. By considering past and current advances in the field, this journal is expected to bridge RNA research with clinical investigation.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following areas:
- RNA structure and mechanism
- RNA splicing
- RNA epigenetics in disease
- RNA–protein interactions
- RNA vaccines
- RNA therapy
