Xinjie TAN, M.D., Ph.D.

Research Assistant Professor, Center for Nuclear Receptors and Cell Signaling, University of Houston.

Senior Neurologist, Second Hospital affiliated to Chongqing Medical University.

Dr. Tan has been engaged in scientific research since 2000. He has published a series of high-quality research papers, undertaken a number of projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China. During his time as research assistant professor at the University of Houston, Dr. Tan conducted research on drug development related to Eli Lilly and Company. Not only that, he also has been the editor and reviewer for many journals, such as PNAS, Cell Death & Disease, Journal of BIOLOGICAL REGULATORS & Homeostatic Agents, American Journal of Translational Research, Cellular Physiology and Biochemistry, International Journal of Medical Sciences, etc. Since 2012, Dr. Tan began to engage in related work in the field of publishing, including the publication of scientific journals, and the development of software systems for preventing academic misconduct. In addition, he also undertook the investigation commissioned by the National Research Integrity Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China on allegations of academic misconduct by Chinese scientific researchers. The results of his work have been written into an official guideline for Chinese journal editors by China Association for Science and Technology. In short, Dr. Tan has extensive experience from the publishing process to the monitoring and prevention of research misconduct, which help ensure the quality of both the journals and research papers published on them.
