Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Please note that this journal does not have a publication fee.
  • The submitted manuscript must be formatted thoroughly according to Author guidelines of this journal.
  • The submitted manuscript is in the format of Microsoft Word.
  • The affiliations [the name of department or division (if any), institution or organization, city, state, zip code and country] are provided.
  • All authors are aware of and agree to the content of the manuscript and their being listed as an author.
  • It is the responsibility of the author(s) to obtain permission from the copyright holder to reproduce figures (or tables) that have previously been published elsewhere. The legend must conclude with "Reprinted with permission".
  • The reference list and citation in the main text of your manuscript must follow the IOGR style. Please read the rules of Reference format in Author guidelines carefully and use them as examples to format your references in main text and reference list.
  • Ethics Approval and Patient Consent for Publication must be disclosed if any.

Author Guidelines

Article Types

This journal only accepts original research article and review. Please note, the submitted manuscript should not be under consideration or published elsewhere. Multiple submissions, duplicated submissions, and redundant publications are not allowed.

Submission Guidelines

You must have an account to access our manuscript submission system. If you are ready to submit a manuscript, click on your username in the upper right-hand corner of your screen and select View Profile in the dropdown menu, select Author as a role.  Please be noted, you only need one account to register and access all of journals, whether you are an author, reviewer, or Editors.

Preparing manuscript

Please submit your manuscript as a WORD file that is in a single column format.  

Manuscripts for research article submitted to this journal should be divided into the following sections (in this order):

  • Title
  • Author(s) and affiliation(s)
  • Abstract
  • Introduction
  • Statement of Theory and Definitions
  • Description and Application of Equipment and Processes
  • Presentation of Data and Results
  • Conclusions
  • Acknowledgements
  • Conflicting Interest
  • Nomenclature
  • References

 

Title

The title should highlight the main point of your paper. Company names or abbreviations should not appear in the title.

Author(s) and affiliation(s)

  • List the full names, institutional addresses and email addresses for all authors.
  • Indicate the corresponding author.

Abstract

The Abstract of the manuscript should not exceed 350 words. Please minimize the use of abbreviations and do not cite references in the abstract. 

Introduction

Background of the related research should be briefly discribed, and a short summary of  the findings should be given in this section.

Statement of Theory and Definitions

Explain theory, define terms, describe test procedures used, and outline and problems peculiar to the subject.

Description and Application of Equipment and Processes

Tell how the equipment was used and how tests were conducted. Describe any unusual test procedure(s) and discuss the development of experimental equipment, with illustrations if possible. Evaluate the equipment and its applications.

Presentation of Data and Results

Present results in the clearest form, whether it is text, figures, or tables. Use the text to provide essential information on figures. Be sure to define all terms in the text and in figures and tables.

Conclusions

State directly and briefly your conclusions and the utility of these conclusions. All conclusions should be supported by data presented in the paper.

Acknowledgements

Funding agency and funding number should be disclosed in this section.

Conflicting Interests

Any actual or potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed. 

e.g.

The author(s) declare that they have no Conflicting interests.

Nomenclature

If you use symbols, define them in a formal Nomenclature at the end of text. Symbols should conform to the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Symbols Standard and be listed alphabetically. For details, please refer to https://www.spe.org/authors/docs/symbols.pdf.

Citation in the main text

Cite references in the main text by placing the author’s last name and the year of publication in parentheses; then, include an alphabetical listing of the reference at the end of the paper. If the text cites more than one reference from the same author in the same year, add “a”, “b”,etc. to distinguish between the references. References includes in the same set of parentheses should be separated by semicolons. 

e.g.

Smith (1990) provides a detailed explanation of this method.

The method is analyzed in several studies (Smith 1990; Jones and Smith 1992; Smith et al. 2004)

Kabir et al. (2004a, 2004b) showed that….
